Description: "Established in 1983, the PBA promotes a better working relationship between the police and the City of Virginia Beach. Our organization is affiliated with the International Union of Police Associations. We represent the sworn Police Officers and Detectives of the City of Virginia Beach. The PBA is active in the political process with our local City Council and the Virginia General Assembly. Our professional organization is funded by membership dues and citizen contributions. The PBA provides support to its members through its member benefit program which provides assistance such as legal representation. Besides our primary goal of the concerns of our members, we also assist the community by donating to Virginia Beach-based charities."--taken from website 2024.02.26
