Description:
Most of us starting in the information and library profession understand that there are popular stereotypes of librarians. Many of these include the librarian as an unfriendly, socially awkward, bunwearing, aging spinster, and have now evolved to the new stereotype of a young tattooed hipster. Both of these portrayals do us a disservice, however prevalently they exist in the world of social media or film. Our web archive attempts to capture the ever present librarian, and library stereotype in Library Memes.
