The archives are the official, centralized repository of the Congregation of The Dominican Sisters of Hope (DSOH), Ossining, NY and three former Congregations: the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary, Newburgh, NY; the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena, Fall River, MA; and the Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor of the Immaculate Conception, Ossining, NY. In 1995, each of the three former Congregations voluntarily dissolved and joined together to found the new Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Hope (DSOH). This collection contains websites, web-based publications, and documents created by the Dominican Sisters of Hope.

Biographical Historical: At the Assembly 2010, Transforming Hope into Action, the Congregation reconfigured the Community Chapters based on the following assumptions: that every Community Chapter would have a diversity of membership which includes Full, Supportive, and Prayerful modes of participation; that groups would typically range from 15-25 members; that each Community Chapter would have a member as coordinator with the possibiility of having a co-coordinator, who is either a member or an associate; that member coordinators would be expected to attend Extended Leadership Meetings and that co-coordinators would be welcome to attend as well. The three modes of particiption are defined as follows: a Full Participant attends every meeting (in person or by video conference) or attends another chapter as a guest; a Supportive Participant attends at least one meeting a year if able and is responsible for maintaining contact with her chapter; a Prayerful Participant unites with her community chapter through prayer. In the process of reconfiguring the Community Chapters, the number of Community Chapters ( formerly 12) was reduced to 9. All of the reconfigured Community Chapters took new names, except for Wisdom, which retained the name of the former Wisdom Community Chapter. A 10th Community Chapter entitled New Sabbath was added in March 2014. The reconfigured Community Chapters meet one to three times a year to discuss issues of mutual interest such as religious life, spirituality, and mission; to lend support to their members; to respond to Leadership requests; and to develop recommendations for consideration by Extended Leadership.
