Description: The goal of the American University Arts Council is to open the doors of Student Government resources to arts groups on campus. This spans from music to drama and even writing. The job of the Council, led by the Chair, is to use the resources of Student Government to elevate the profile of the arts on the campus of American University. This will be done through cooperation of all arts groups on campus to achieve a common goal for the arts at AU. The Arts Council Chair works under the guise of the President of the Student Government to help develop policies through the Student Government that will work to achieve the goal of elevating the arts. The Chair is also responsible for planning an Arts Week in the Spring Semester.

Description: AUTO provided vans to student organizations, Greek life, and club sports teams. Our fleet consists of large 10 passenger vans that are used on a daily basis to better serve our student community. AUTO also provides shuttle runs during welcome week to and from various stores in the DC area and during breaks runs to airports. Around 2014, the AUTO program transitioned from a student-run system to a university-run system.

Women's Initiative focuses on making AU a safer, more equitable, and more empowering place for women through AU traditions like the Breastival, AIDS Walk Washington, World AIDS Day, the Vagina Monologues, Women's History Month, and Take Back the Night. Women's Initiative also works on policy issues like pushing the administration to create a Women's Resource Center, providing oversight of the Student Health Center, and working with Public Safety to keep campus safe for everyone.
