Description:
Dr. Louis A. Peck was a gifted artist, outstanding educator, and inspirational mentor to the many students whose lives he directly and indirectly influenced in his career. Dr. Peck was without a doubt the founding figure in the growth and development of the ‘Art Department’ at Boise Junior College, Boise College, Boise State College and Boise State University. Over his four-decade career he guided, staffed and led the then one-person Art Department to prominence, while recruiting and hiring 37 art professors along the way. He retired in 1989 and passed away on October 26, 2005.
