University Archives & Historical Collections of Michigan State University is a place of discovery. More than 150 years of MSU history can be explored, including original letters and diaries, photographs, and oral histories. Our collections span the entirety of MSU’s history and also contain historical materials not related to MSU. Some of our collection highlights include materials that document the physical campus and grounds, early student life, the lumber industry, environmentalism in Michigan, and the Civil War. Michigan State University Libraries Stephen O. Murray and Keelung Hong Special Collections unit was established in 1962 with the charge to house, preserve, and make accessible important research collections for educational use. Today, Special Collections holds over 450,000 printed works, numerous manuscript and archival collections, and an extensive collection of ephemera in collection strengths including popular culture, LGBTQIA+ and gender movements, comic art, Africana, Latinx/Chicanx in Michigan, and political activism.

Brain Images Websites Collection

Description:

Collection of web sites created at Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin. One site web site provides browsers with images and information from one of the world's largest collection of well-preserved, sectioned and stained brains of mammals. Viewers can see and download photographs of brains of over 100 different species of mammals (including humans) representing over 20 Mammalian Orders. The other site provides a world resource for illustrations of whole brains and stained sections from a great variety of mammals.

Covid-19 Collection - Michigan State University and Greater Lansing Area

A collection of websites related to the university response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Also includes some of the surrounding communities. As the response to the pandemic progressed on campus, this collection focused more on the surrounding community. MSU related response began to be collected as part of normal university website crawling.
