Description: The MIT Open Access Task Force website describes their charge from the Provost, lists information on open access, and gives a space to submit ideas for how open access can be used in new ways at MIT. The Task Force was formed in 2016 in response to the question from the 2013 "Report to the President on MIT and the Prosecution of Aaron Swartz" on whether MIT should increase the amount it provides open access to the educational and research output of its researchers and staff. In this process, the Task Force organized deliberations on campus and prepared recommendations to implement and measure progress of these efforts.

Description: The MIT Rules and Regulations stablish the roles and responsibilities of the Standing Committees of the MIT Faculty, governs its legislative processes, and states its regulations pertaining to the academic calendar, admissions, registration, grades, degrees, and more. The Rules and Regulations of the Faculty also describe the processes via which they can be changed by vote of the Faculty. Parts also address important topics related to syllabi, midterms, scheduling assignments at the end of the semester, and final exams. Rules of the Faculty was first published in October 1879. The title was changed to Rules and Regulations of the Faculty in 1937.

Description: The MIT Skoltech Program website provides information on Phase 2 of the project including seed-funded projects and centers, news, and photographs of conferences and events. Phase 2 of the program started in 2016 and ended on February 28, 2019. Phase 1 of the program is described in the history section of this page and can be accessed from the http://web.mit.edu/sketch seed. The MIT Skoltech Program was a collaboration between MIT, Skoltech, and the Skolokovo Foundation started in 2011 to launch Skoltech, a private graudate research university in Russia. In Phase 1 (2011-2016), MIT engaged along six major tracks to assist in Skoltech's development: the five academic areas of students, education, faculty, research, and entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I), as well as a sixth area covering Skoltech administration, facilities, and operations. In Phase 2 (2016-2019), MIT focused on collaborative activities to promote further development of the University such as projects, congerences, and advice and support.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Program on Communications Policy was founded by political science faculty member Ithiel de Sola Pool in 1972, with seminars an important feature of the program. After Pool's death in 1984, the program was reformed as the Communications Forum. Speakers at the Forum focus on a "cutting-edge discussion of the cultural, political, economic and technological impact of communications, with special emphasis on emerging technologies."
