Description: The Office of Economic Opportunity administers funds for local initiatives that are designed to affect the causes of poverty. The initiative supported included the full range of life necessities. The Office of Economic Opportunity was created by the Community Economic Opportunity Act of 1983 (Act 143) and was administered by the Office of the Governor. The division was transferred to the Dept. of Administration by the South Carolina Restructuring Act of 2014 (Act 121). These records may contain minutes, photographs and video of significant events, statistics, agency policies, and other significant and related records. This seed is the former website of the Office of Economic Opportunity and is no longer captured using the Archive-It service.
