Description: Archived website of the National Guestworker Alliance (NGA), a membership organization of guestworkers, founded in 2006 (as the Alliance of Guestworkers) and based in New Orleans, Louisiana ("About NGA," http://www.guestworkeralliance.org/about-nga/, accessed June 13, 2018). Its stated mission is "to ensure that: Guestworkers have the power to transform their workplaces from exploitative to dignified—and have the consciousness and organization to do this in partnership with local workers locked out of employment. Guestworkers have the power to transform the terms of migration, so that workers can arrive to the United States on a path to first-class citizenship.
