Description: November 2014 - the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors approved an implementation plan which is intended to restrict the sale of flavored tobacco products to youth. The enforcement policy will not be applied to adult-only tobacco retailers and the existing ordinance does not extend to flavored ecigarettes. The County of Santa Clara is the first jurisdiction in the western United States to pass an ordinance prohibiting the sale of flavored tobacco products, and only the fourth nationwide.
