Description: The American Lung Association in California is committed to fighting for the right to breathe clean and healthy air. This is accomplished by working with state and local leaders on issues that impact lung health – from creating smoke-free environments, enhancing tobacco prevention and control programs, reducing air pollution and global warming, and improving health care. The American Lung Association in California fights to eliminate the impact of tobacco and make California smokefree through key advocacy roles on propositions, assembly bills and Senate bills as well as work on State of Tobacco Control Reports, State of the Air reports, and the California Cancer Research Act, among others.
