Description: South Adams Street @ 1900 was created by Matthew Siegfried as a Masters project of Eastern Michigan University's Historic Preservation Program. The website was conceived as a living archive of information about the South Adams Street neighborhood in Ypsilanti, Michigan around the year 1900. The neighborhood was home to African Americans who migrated from the South, before, during and after the Civil War.
