Description: The Inglis family donated their house to the University of Michigan in 1951 for use as a home for university presidents. In March of 2017, the University of Michigan announced that it planned to sell the house instead of renovating it. Many people, including members of the Inglis family, are protesting this decision out of concern that the property will be demolished. The Save the Inglis House website compiles news about the issue and coordinates community action protesting the university's sale of the Inglis House property.
