Description: The Center for Hellenic Studies is a cutting-edge research institution in the field of Hellenic studies and is a leader in making scholarly works available online. It is affiliated with Harvard University and located in Washington D.C. It was founded in 1962 by means of an endowment made "exclusively for the establishment of an educational center in the field of Hellenic Studies designed to re-discover the humanism of the Hellenic Greeks." The Center website provides information on its publications, lecture and discussion series, external resources, outreach efforts, fellowships, the Center's library, staff, and history. The lecture and discussion series are web-based seminars available free of charge. The Center's outreach efforts include travel study programs, undergraduate research symposiums, conferences, seminars, internships, and studies.
