Description: Singing City was founded in 1948 by Dr. Elaine Brown as a diverse, integrated choir. The three “pillars” of the organization are “Performance, Community, and Education.” Singing City “strives to be an artistic, social and spiritual force, bringing people together through choral music.” Website content changes over time, but the Singing City website has included information about the history and mission of the choir, performances, auditions, and educational programs.
