Description: Archived blog of "Knowing Our History: African American Slavery and the University of Maryland" (HIST 429), a year-long undergraduate history course at the University of Maryland, College Park, devoted to "investigat[ing] the University's connections to slavery by placing it in the larger framework of Atlantic history" ("Knowing Our History: African American Slavery and the University of Maryland," http://wayback.archive-it.org/2410/20180322040035/http://umdslavery.blogspot.com/, archived March 22, 2018). The course was taught by Professors Ira Berlin and Herbert Brewer during the 2008-2009 academic year ("Press Release," http://wayback.archive-it.org/2410/20180322040035/http://umdslavery.blogspot.com/2009/03/press-release.html, archived March 22, 2018).
