Description: The Purpose of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Aggies is threefold: to provide support for all gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender individuals within the University and surrounding communities; to provide educational information on historical and current issues regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals; and to create opportunities for welcoming, safe, and supportive social gatherings that strive to minimize the fear of harassment or exposure.

Description: The Frontera Pride Film Festival was launched to present the stories of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community through film exhibition. With the inaugural theme of “Building Bridges Across Borders,” the festival will take center stage in June 2009. Led by an arts and culture-focused committee of volunteers, the festival is driven by a desire to create a community event that will become an annual tradition about, by and for this vital population. The organization operates as a 501c3 nonprofit through the generosity of the Frontera Women’s Foundation and all donations are tax-deductible.

Description: Equality Texas Foundation was incorporated in 1990 as a 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation conducts research and educates Texans about policies and their effect on Texans of all sexual orientations and gender identities/expressions. The Foundation also coordinates efforts of LGBT and allied organizations across the state to achieve its goals and objectives. The Foundation programs serve to educate and empower Texans on equality issues. Contributions to Equality Texas Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Equality Texas was incorporated in 1989 as a 501(c)(4) organization. It is the only nonpartisan statewide political advocacy organization lobbying the Texas Legislature for the elimination of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. Contributions to Equality Texas are not tax deductible.
