They seem to believe clean air in classrooms—a key measure to combat the spread of covid and other airborne diseases—isn't worth the cost. / Charlene McKay, Trustee and Chair of the @sd68bc board, also tends to say one thing and do another. In March 2021, she voted against a motion to extend the school mask mandate to younger grades, agreeing with then @BCSTA_President not to go "above and beyond" WRT to child safety. / What's more, Ms. McKay voted against additional protections for kids like mine, despite the fact that she chose not to have her child attend in-person classes in the District for the entire 2020/21 school year due to health concerns over covid. This is called hypocrisy. / The behaviour shown by BC's school officials is nothing short of scandalous and cowardly.
