Description:

Throughout recorded history, Nepal has nestled between the giant cultural formations of India to the south and China/Tibet to the north. With the globalization of modern times, international interests and concerns draw Nepal into contact with more distant corners of the world. There are now a multitude of non-governmental organizations at work in Nepal, many headquartered in the Kathmandu Valley. Some are international NGOs and some are purely Nepali, some are long running and some are startups. All of the websites archived here are NGO self-presentations of their aspirations and their achievements on various fronts—humanitarian, environmental, economic, political, religious, and more.

Description: Organization founded in 1991 Nirdhan is poverty focused non-profit organization registered under the Society Registration Act 1977 of Nepal. It’s tax exempted organization. It was established in 1991 by a group of like-minded people led by late Dr. HariharDev Pant then Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. It was an outcome of Dr. Pant’s study visit to Grameen Bank of Bangladesh in 1986. Nirdhan is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. Title: Nepal Society of the Disabled

Description: Organization founded in 1995 Nepal Society of the Disabled (NSD) is a non-profit non-governmental organization established by the persons with disabilities (PWDs) in 1995. It was registered at the District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu in 1995 and is also affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC). From the very beginning of its establishment, NSD as a disabled rights organization has been working actively for the rights of PWDs throughout the country. In order to fulfilling the objectives of the organization, NSD has been coordinating and collaborating with different stakeholders and other like-minded organizations at local, district, national and international level.
