Description:

Throughout recorded history, Nepal has nestled between the giant cultural formations of India to the south and China/Tibet to the north. With the globalization of modern times, international interests and concerns draw Nepal into contact with more distant corners of the world. There are now a multitude of non-governmental organizations at work in Nepal, many headquartered in the Kathmandu Valley. Some are international NGOs and some are purely Nepali, some are long running and some are startups. All of the websites archived here are NGO self-presentations of their aspirations and their achievements on various fronts—humanitarian, environmental, economic, political, religious, and more.

Description: Organization founded in 2004 Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is a national NGO, established in 2004 with the objectives of prompting rights to inclusive development, democracy, human resource development through addressing the issues of health, education, and access to opportunity of local community. It is an autonomous non-political and non-profit making organization run by the representative of civil society and development professionals who are actively working in the field of rural development, health, education, human rights, inclusive democracy, child rights, livelihood, gender and environmental issues. SIAN as a national NGO which currently has 21 trustee members. SIAN is always keen to work collaboratively with INGOs/NGOs/GOs/private sector and community-based organization (CBOs) for achieving better results on the movement of human and economic rights protection, inclusive rural development, empowerment of underprivileged and vulnerable groups. Description: Organization founded in 1998 The Group for Technical Assistance (GTA) is a non-government, non-profit and non-political national organization based in Nepal. GTA was registered under the District Administration Office of Kathmandu in 1998 and has maintained its affiliation with the Social Welfare Council since then. Our core projects include education, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), gender advocacy and research, mainly surrounding public health.
