Throughout recorded history, Nepal has nestled between the giant cultural formations of India to the south and China/Tibet to the north. With the globalization of modern times, international interests and concerns draw Nepal into contact with more distant corners of the world. There are now a multitude of non-governmental organizations at work in Nepal, many headquartered in the Kathmandu Valley. Some are international NGOs and some are purely Nepali, some are long running and some are startups. All of the websites archived here are NGO self-presentations of their aspirations and their achievements on various fronts—humanitarian, environmental, economic, political, religious, and more.

Advocacy, alliances and lobbying will be mounted to pressurise government authorities to become accountable for the establishment of rights and proportional participation of the marginalized indigenous peoples in the development process. Title: Himalayan Community Development Forum

Description: Organization founded in 1999 Himalayan Community Development Forum (HICODEF) is a national non-governmental organization registered at Nawalparasi District in 1999. It is a pure social development and not profit making organization. As of now, it has been affiliated with Social Welfare Council, NGO Federation and National CBR Network. In addition, it is involved in various district level forums. It has decade long experience in development field and hundreds of thousands of community get benefited from its integrated community development programme.
