Description: The Letters of Lieutenant Colonel S W W Blacker DSO, Commanding Officer, 9th (Service) Battalion, Princess Victoria’s (Royal Irish Fusiliers). From October 1915 to March 1917, Stewart Blacker wrote to his wife, Eva, almost every day. These letters provide an insight into the life of a commanding officer, as well as offering some commentary on events in Ireland at that time.
