Collection: August 4, 2009 flood (Louisville, Kentucky)
Description: August 4th, 2009, at about 10:00AM, the rain came in so fast that the drainage sewers could not keep up with the flow. One minute it was pouring, the next minute it was rushing from back yards to front yards and streets. Manhole covers were being blown off and there was fear of cars or people not seeing the holes under all the water. This set has my account of this backup flood from the perspective of my yard and basement in South Louisville.
