Description:
The Integrated Public Safety Commission (IPSC) is the governing body that oversees Project Hoosier SAFE-T. IPSC, created by the Indiana General Assembly in 1999, consists of 12 members representing a variety of public safety agencies, along with municipal and county executives. The commission has representation from jurisdictions throughout Indiana. The SAFE-T network will reflect the needs of public safety agencies throughout Indiana because the IPSC represents first responders throughout Indiana.

Description:
Indiana's center for law enforcement education. The first basic law enforcement training course was conducted in the summer of 1969 at Indiana Central College, now the University of Indianapolis. In December of 1969, the Academy moved to the Indiana University campus at Bloomington, and remained there until January 1, 1975. On January 6, 1975 training began in the new facility at Plainfield.

The mission of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is to protect, enhance, preserve, and wisely use natural, cultural, and recreational resources for the benefit of Indiana's citizens through professional leadership, management, and education. To satisfy such a broad and diverse responsibility, the Department is divided into two distinct areas of responsibility: the Regulatory Management Team; and, the Land Management Team. The Regulatory Management Team consists of the Divisions of Water; Entomology and Plant Pathology; Historic Preservation and Archaeology; Reclamation; and Oil and Gas. Outdoor recreation and land management programs are housed within the Land Management Team. That unit consists of State Parks; Nature Preserves; Land Acquisition; Fish and Wildlife; Outdoor Recreation and Forestry.

The IPAC is a non-partisan, independent state judicial branch agency and was created by statute in 1973. It is made up of Indiana's 91 prosecuting attorneys and their chief deputies and governed by a 10 member Board of Directors chosen from among the state's prosecuting attorneys. The IPAC assists prosecuting attorneys by preparing manuals, providing legal research, and conducting training seminars. It serves as a liaison to local, state, and federal agencies, study commissions, and community groups in an effort to support law enforcement and promote the fair administration of justice.

Since 1989, The Indiana Public Defender Commission has served to recommend standards for indigent defense in capital cases, to adopt guidelines of salary and fee schedules for individual county reimbursement eligibility, and to review and approve requests for reimbursement in capital cases. In 1993, the responsibility of the Commission was expanded to include the adoption of guidelines and standards for county reimbursement eligibility in non-capital cases.
