Description: Philips Outdoor Center is a non-profit scuba diving facility and nature preserve in Muncie, Indiana. Formerly known as Philips Quarry, the quarry attracted African American residents who were barred from patronizing Muncie's white-only swimming pools. It now offers scuba diving courses as well as nature trails.

Description: Gibson Arena was opened in 1940 by Earl and Mildred Gibson as an ice-skating rink. The rink was eventually converted into a roller-skating venue in 1946. In 1969, the rink was purchased by Earl and Mildred's daughter, Ann Sheridan, and was operated by her and her husband George for the next twenty years. It is now run by their son, Tom Sheridan.
