Historical Manuscripts

Description:

The historical manuscripts collections focus primarily on 19th and 20th century Texas and Mexican history and the U.S. War with Mexico. They are primarily personal papers, family collections, and organizational records. In addition, special emphasis is on materials from the North Texas area and surrounding counties as well as counties once part of the Robertson Colony, a 19th century empresario venture that brought U.S. immigrants to Texas.

Tarrant County LGBTQ+ Collection

Description:

The Tarrant County LGBTQ+ Collection was established in April 2022. It grew out of a collecting gap at UTA Libraries Special Collections related to queer history. Websites in this collection relate to physical items in the Tarrant County LGBTQ+ Collection (AR794).

Texas Disability History Collection

Description:

The Texas Disability History Collection emphasizes the pioneering role played by a racially and ethnically diverse cast of Texan disability rights activists, many of whom attended or have worked at UT Arlington, in fighting for equal access to education, work, union membership, public transit, and sports.

Texas Labor Archives

Archived since: Nov, 2016

Description:

These harvested websites relate to the physical holdings in the labor archives. The collection contains archival material from hundreds of union locals and labor councils, statewide labor organizations, union political groups, district and regional offices of international unions, and legal firms specializing in labor law, as well as the personal papers of union officials.

University Archives

Description:

University Archives documents and preserves the University's history through it's collections of records and other material pertaining to the University, its activities, its students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
