The South Carolina Department of Archives and History is an independent state agency whose mission is to preserve and promote the documentary and cultural heritage of the Palmetto State. Description: The Insurance Reserve Fund functions as the insurer for government agencies. It collects premiums and pays claims in the same manner as an insurer. Previously part of the Budget and Control Board, as of July 2015 the Fund became a subdivision of the State Fiscal Accountability Authority. These records may contain minutes, photographs and video of significant events, statistics, agency policies, and other significant and related records.
