Description:
In 2002, with the support of The George C. Marshall Foundation in Lexington, VA, Christenson launched the Marshall Plan Filmography. This web portal became a vital resource and dynamic space for scholars researching post-WWII US public information campaigns. Christenson became the conduit for many researchers, filmmakers, scholars, and archivists. She searched out every copy, in every language, in every archive known to exist. As digitization programs began to proliferate in archives globally, the materials accessible and available for research continued to grow. In 2016, just as Christenson prepared to add 300 new records to the filmography, changes at the George C. Marshall Foundation resulted in the end to their hosting the Marshall Plan Filmography.
