The Grand Rapids Torch Club was founded in 1928 and was in existence until 2015. It was the 23rd club founded as part of the International Association of Torch Clubs. The purpose of the Torch Club is to provide a forum where people from a variety of professions can meet, enjoy good fellowship in a relaxed setting, inform each other, and expand each other's horizons. The Grand Rapids Torch Club website includes information about the organization and listings of programs from 2005-2015. The paper records of the club are held in the archive of the Grand Rapids Public Library.
