With three levels, the library houses the Writing Center, the Learning Commons, the Center for Ethnic Studies, the Honors College, the Tiger Food Exchange, and Makerspace, as well as the various library departments and services. Forsyth Library is a vital part of Fort Hays State University, a leading, forward-thinking university of the Midwest, with student enrollment of more than 15,500. Dedicated faculty and professional staff support and guide degree and certificate programs for the associate’s, bachelor's, and master's programs, and for the Doctorate of Nursing Practice, representing 31 departments within five academic colleges. The Kansas Archive-It Consortium (KAIC) is a web archiving partnership among six institutions—the state historical society and five universities—in the state of Kansas. KAIC reflects the collaborative culture of Kansas libraries and archives. Consortium members learn from one another and strategically preserve websites across the state. As a result, Kansas residents benefit from a single source for Kansas-related web archives.
