Established in 1969, the Contemporary Culture Collection (CCC) is a source of primary source, printed, and ephemeral material documenting North America social, political, economic and cultural history as it pertains to minority groups, alternative, radical, counterculture, and the fringe dating from the 1960s to the present. Established in 1967, the Urban Archives at the Special Collections Research Center, Temple University Libraries, document the social, economic, political, and physical development of the greater Philadelphia region throughout the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Resources housed in the Urban Archives include a wide variety of organization records, photographs, news clippings, local TV newsreel footage, pamphlets and reports, city directories, Philadelphia atlases, and Sanborn fire insurance maps.
