Founded in December 2012 by Nina Wilson, Sheelah Mclean, Sylvia McAdam, and Jessica Gordon, Idle No More is an ongoing, Canada-wide phenomenon involving multiple First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, as well as some allies in settler communities. The movement has also been active in the United States, and in New Zealand.
