Description: The General Assembly in 1973 created a South Carolina Museum Commission with nine members, one from each of the six Congressional districts and three at large. Opening on October 29, 1988, the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia has four floors of exhibits dedicated to art, history, natural history and science/technology. These records may contain minutes, photographs and video of significant events, statistics, agency policies, and other significant and related records. The State Museum website is captured using the Archive-It service quarterly.
