Description: This framework will be the basis for developing curricula in specific Aboriginal languages and cultures in Manitoba. It was developed through the collaborative efforts of individuals and groups dedicated to the preservation, revitalization and maintenance of Aboriginal languages and cultures. The framework was influenced by the Western and Northern Canadian Protocol: The Common Curriculum Framework for Aboriginal and Culture Programs: Kindergarten to Grade 12 and recent development in International and Heritage languages in Manitoba and in Western Canada.
