Description: Texas A&M University has been chosen as the Texas host for Shakespeare’s First Folio on its national tour to commemorate the 400th year anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Folger Shakespeare Library is putting on the traveling exhibition First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare which is visiting all 50 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. In honor of the First Folio arriving in College Station, Texas A&M will be hosting a series of events to celebrate the exhibit including performances, lectures and those aimed for students and teachers across Texas. The Cushing Memorial Library & Archives will also be hosting a complementary exhibit entitled Within the Book and the Volume: Early Modern English Literature at Texas A&M. Events will take place starting February 2 and continue through April 20, 2016
