Teaches its members how to row and prepare them for competition. promotes and teaches the game of cricket to all its members and all the students, faculty and staff who wish to enjoy it. To offer its members the ability to participate, learn, and enjoy the time-honored sprot of croquet. We also congregate to interact with new individuals on a social level in the Penn State community. Provides a safe, fun, yet competitive running environment within a team atmosphere. Promotes the use of the bicycle in all its forms, whether road bike, mountain bike, or other, as a means of transportation, exercise, recreation, and sport. To provide recreational and competitive opportunities in the sport of disc golf to Penn State students. TO PLAY DODGEBALL To promote horsemanship by teaching good sound quality basics and introducing students to the classical riding/training principles of Dressage. Promotes horsemanship and actively engages in intercollegiate competition. Encourages recreational competitive fencing at a non-varsity level among members of the University community. Provides regular team field hockey play below the Varsity/Junior Varsity levels, and provides competition with other schools and other club teams. Provides ice time for all those who are interested in the sport of ice skating. Organizes and coordinates a floor hockey league at the University. Provides students with the opportunity to be part of a competitive environment in the game of golf. Enables those interested in gymnastics to further their skills while under the supervision of qualified instructors. Provides an opportunity for women to learn the skills necessary to play ice hockey and to compete with other women's ice hockey teams. Provides aspiring players a chance to play regardless of talent; active participation is dependent on the desire to play and willingness to pay for one's own expenses. Encourages individual growth, discipline, and pride while also instilling the values of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanlike conduct. Provides training and development in the skills required for Judo; promotes the popularity of the sport and principles of Judo; promotes physical fitness, self-discipline, self-defense, and confidence. Promotes the art of juggling by providing a source of information and instruction, and encourages members to practice and perform while creating camaraderie among jugglers. Promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and cultural exchange through the study of traditional Okinawan martial arts. Kendo (??), or "way of the sword", is the Japanese martial art of fencing. It developed from the traditional swordsmanship called kenjutsu. Practitioners of kendo wear traditionally styled clothing (gi) and protective armor (bogu) and fight using one (and sometimes two) swords made of bamboo (shinai). Though kendo is called Japanese-style fencing, it is fundamentally different in its movements and the handling of the sword. Promotes, through instruction, the practical application of the martial art Tae Kwon Do - Moo Duk Kwan (Korean Karate). Provides Penn State students the opportunity to play organized lacrosse as an alternative to the existing varsity lacrosse program. Provides women of the University who desire to play organizational lacrosse with an alternative to the existing women's varsity lacrosse program. Promotes physical fitness through skill and disciplined advancement of the martial arts. Promotes and encourages skin and scuba diving in a safe and sensible manner and aids in the instruction of the proper use of skin and scuba diving equipment. Promotes interest in and advances the study and science of speleology, and promotes the activities of the National Speleogical Society in the Central Pennsylvania Area. Stimulates an appreciation of outdoor activities, and an awareness of the need for conservation of our natural environment, teaches the skills needed for the safe enjoyment of these activites, develops leadership and and understanding for group responsibility among its members. Promotes and stimulates the interests of the student body in the sport of paintball, while encouraging safety and sportsman like conduct. Helps members compete in sanctioned, drug free power lifting meets while representing Penn State, and promotes individual fitness and well being. Promotes the sport of racquetball among students, faculty, and the staff at the University, and also sponsors tournaments and intrauniversity competition. Provides training and intercollegiate competition in the sport of Olympic Rifle Shooting. Promotes the sport of roller hockey as well as competing at the intercollegiate level. Promotes the sport of rugby through athleticism and camaraderie competitively and socially. Provides an organized environment for beginning players to learn the game of rugby, and for experienced players to improve their skills, and promotes popularity and interest in the game. Provides its members with sailing related instruction and recreation through the promotion of safe boating, study of seamanship, yacht sailing, and intra/inter club competition. Emphasizes the spiritual aspect of Karate-do, and the art of empty-handed self defense in order to eliminate any unfortunate and regrettable misuses that may arise when the physical aspects are over emphasized. Develops its members' skiing abilities and trains for competition, as well as, engages in all types of competitive skiing at every possible level through an active program of physical training, instruction, and competition. Provides an organization that allows students and all other people with the common interest of snowboarding to get together and enjoy the sport. Serves as a vehicle for year round enjoyment of soccer. Provides University students with a vigorous athletic outlet, and establishes friendly relations among all students of the University, along with affording an opportunity for students to play soccer. Provides the opportunity for women to play softball at a competitive level without the commitment of being a member of a Division I Varsity sport. Assists and encourages participation in the game of squash. Promotes the Olympic sport of Table Tennis through instruction and organized competition. Disciplines the mind and body through Tae Kwon Do. Taiji Provides a beneficial extracurricular organization, which promotes athleticism through the sport of tennis. TO RUN TRACK To teach the principles of Olympic shooting as well as the lifelong sports of trap shooting and skeet shooting. Provides any student or faculty member with the opportunity to improve his/her ability to compete in the triathlon or any of three sports (swim, bike, run) of which it is comprised. To provide an opportunity to learn, perform, and compete in the sport of twirling. Promotes the sport of Ultimate Frisbee and promotes the sport through the honor and integrity of each individual member. Promotes the sport of water polo, and represents the University in the Collegiate Water Polo Association. Seeks to create a renaissance in all spheres of life (physical, mental, and spiritual) and to all beings (animals, plants, and humans).
