Description: The Environmental Coalition aims to contribute to sustainable development in Romania and the involvement of civil society in this process. The Coalition is comprised of 74 environmental NGOs in Romania and has the following objectives: Raising awareness and decision makers on environmental protection; Increasing public participation in actions to reduce and prevent environmental impact; Improving the quality of education on environment and sustainable development; Increasing civil society involvement in developing policies to reduce the impact of human activities on the environment; Increasing representation of environmental NGOs in Romania at the national and international level; Improving the institutional framework of business environmental NGOs in Romania; Empowering decision makers.
