According to his biography, “Vincent Castagnacci is a painter with studios in Pinckney, Michigan and Gloucester, Mass. From 1959 to 1962 he studied drawing, painting, printmaking at the Boston Museum School and drawing and sculpture with George Demetrios in Boston and Gloucester, Mass. The Museum School degree program with Tufts University awarded him a BS Ed in 1963. In 1964 he received a BFA from Yale University and in 1966 from Yale an MFA. n 1999 he was named Arthur F. Thurnau Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts. He has lectured and published consistently in this country, in Rome at L’Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica and at the Gebaudelehre, Technische Universitat in Vienna.”

Description: A prominent artist in the fiber arts world since 1969, Sherri Smith “joined the University of Michigan School of Art and Design in 1974. Smith developed the School's fibers program and has continued to be the only permanent faculty member in that field. Her current work is strip woven and takes its images from mathematics and the sciences. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she served for seven years as the School's associate dean for graduate studies and, for a period of six months, held the post of interim dean.” The website serves mainly as a portfolio for Smith’s work.
