Description: Established in 1963, ICOFA is one of North America’s oldest institutions. The Islamic Center serves the needs of Muslims in the greater Detroit area as well as throughout the U.S. ICOFA receives, administers and distributes funds to preserve and teach the religion of Islam; perpetuates the social, moral, and religious standards of Muslims in the U.S.; teaches the Arabic language; educates the American society about Islam and the Arab culture.
