Description:

The Harvard University Archives is charged with collecting and preserving the historical records of the University. Much of the information collected for centuries in paper form now resides on University websites. Beginning in February 2007, we began the first phase of our effort to collect this information by harvesting websites from degree-granting departments and committees of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The University Archives now harvests websites from across the University, anywhere from monthly to annually. Title: Helping Thailand in the COVID-19 Crisis

Description: The Harvard University Asia Center, a Harvard interfaculty initiative, sponsors events, oversees the East Asian Studies undergraduate concentration, and funds student research and study as well as activities of student organizations. The Thai Studies Program was created with seed funding given to the Asia Center from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to support language instructors and courses at several levels of proficiency. The Helping Thailand in the COVID-19 Crisis website provides links to how the crisis is affecting Thailand, research being done, and how to help. Title: Harvard University Archives COVID-19 Community Archiving Project

Description: The Harvard University Archives collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to a comprehensive record of more than 375 years of life at Harvard. This activity is tied integrally to records management services for Harvard University staff, administrators and faculty. Records management staff provide guidance and resources for all stages in the records and information lifecycle, from creating records through destruction of non-permanent records or transfer of permanent records to the Archives. The COVID-19 Community Archiving Project aims to document the broad Harvard community's experience of the COVID-19 outbreak and pandemic. The Community Archive website is a means to collect and record what was witnessed and experienced and how the community responded to the crisis. Title: Crimson Workspace

Description: Harvard Real Estate, a division of Harvard Campus Services, manages and supports Harvard's real estate holdings and the associated community. The Crimson Workspace website was produced as the outcome of the HarvardWorks project, funded by the Harvard President's Administrative Innovation Fund. With the changes in work practices brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Harvard Real Estate saw a need for dynamic workspaces. Title: Windows of Harvard

Description: The Office for the Arts at Harvard & Radcliffe is a central resource for arts information, opportunities, programs, and support at Harvard University. The Common Spaces program exists to create and manage informal gathering spaces for and encourage spontaneous interactions among students, faculty, staff, community members, and visitors. Together, they created Windows of Harvard to provide an opportunity to connect the Harvard community by "virtually visiting" the campus through the online presentation of installations in campus windows. As those working on campus and remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic feel the absence of students, friends, and colleagues, this display intends to close the distance by providing the unique reciprocal experience that is the creation and appreciation of art. Description: Harvard University is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, established in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Harvard has 12 degree-granting Schools in addition to the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. The University has grown from nine students with a single master to an enrollment of more than 20,000 degree candidates including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. There are more than 360,000 living alumni in the U.S. and over 190 other countries. The COVID-19 Information section of Harvard's primary website, also called Keep Harvard Healthy, provided guidance for students, faculty, staff, and visitors as well as data about how COVID-19 has affected the university.
