A-Sites: Archived Harvard Websites

Collected by: Harvard University Archives

Archived since: Mar, 2015

Description:

The Harvard University Archives is charged with collecting and preserving the historical records of the University. Much of the information collected for centuries in paper form now resides on University websites. Beginning in February 2007, we began the first phase of our effort to collect this information by harvesting websites from degree-granting departments and committees of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The University Archives now harvests websites from across the University, anywhere from monthly to annually. The list of sites collected continues to grow, providing a fuller picture of the Harvard webspace and of Harvard itself. HOLLIS catalog: http://id.lib.harvard.edu/alma/990115927020203941/catalog

URL: http://allstonconstruction.harvard.edu/

Description: Harvard University’s Construction Mitigation Team works with City of Boston agencies, the Harvard Allston Task Force construction mitigation sub-committee, and Allston neighbors to effectively carry out a comprehensive construction mitigation program. The construction mitigation program aims to minimize or eliminate negative impacts to the Allston neighborhood, the City of Boston, and the internal Harvard community from University construction projects, while allowing for an efficient approach to construction work. The Team website provides project updates, construction notices, photos and renderings, logistics plans and schedules, and information about the team. This capture occurred immediately before the website was removed as part of a re-organization of the Allston project. Collected by the Harvard University Archives as part of the records of the Harvard University Allston Initiative.
