Title: Melbourne School of Population and Global Growth - Vaccine and Immunisation Research Group VIRGo, Vaccine and Immunisation Research Group (VIRGo)

URL: https://www.mcri.edu.au/research/research-areas/infection-immunity-and-global-health/vaccine-immunisation-research-group-virgo

Description: The Vaccine and Immunisation Research Group is a joint initiative between the University of Melbourne and the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. VIRGo is conducted in three complementary programs which includes clinical trials, epidemiology and mathematical modelling. VIRGo is a collaboration between the Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity at The University of Melbourne. We conducted vaccine and immunisation research with clinical trials of new vaccines, and epidemiologic studies of vaccine-preventable disease. Our findings enable us to advise policymakers on the optimal use of vaccines in national immunisation schedules, in pandemic influenza preparedness and response, and in vaccine safety.
