Description: The Continuum of Care is self-described as working to ensure continuing development and delivery of appropriate services to those children with severe emotional disturbance and their families in SC whose needs are not being adequately met by existing services and programs. The Continuum of Care for Emotional Disturbed Children was created by Article 13, Section 63-11-1310 and was administered by the Office of the Governor. The division was transferred to the Dept. of Administration by the South Carolina Restructuring Act of 2014 (Act 121). The division was then transferred to the Dept. of Children’s Advocacy in 2018 (Act 160). These records may contain minutes, photographs and video of significant events, statistics, agency policies, and other significant and related records. The Continuum of Care website is captured using the Archive-It service quarterly.
