Description: Archived website of the Language House Immersion Program, a "living-learning" residential program established at the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1989 to "[provide] students, who are serious about language learning, with the opportunity for daily language and cultural immersion in an organized study environment" ("About the Language House," http://wayback.archive-it.org/2410/20180429215114/https://sllc.umd.edu/language-house, archived April 29, 2018). Language clusters within the program are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Russian, and Spanish. Between November 2013 and February 2016, students in the program published 12 issues of the Language House Newspaper. The Language House website includes information about its academic program, admissions and application processes, alumni, residential life, calendar, activities, clubs, clusters, pictures, video, and staff.
