Description: Archived website of UMTV, the cable television station of the University of Maryland, College Park: "We want to give Marylanders the type of high-quality, intellectually stimulating, culturally diverse programming that a major research university can provide" ("About UMTV," http://wayback.archive-it.org/2410/20120622205019/http://www.umtv.umd.edu/about.html, archived June 22, 2012). UMTV was launched in May 2000 and, as of August 2018, airs on the College Park campus and in Prince George's and Montgomery counties via Comcast and Verizon ("UMTV," https://merrill.umd.edu/media/umtv/, accessed August 7, 2018). The UMTV website includes information about its programs, schedule, Maryland Newsline, recording facility at the Richard Eaton Broadcast Center, and production services.
