Description: Chipotle is a fully ripened and smoked jalapeno pepper. It's also a new kind of restaurant that prepares gourmet burritos and tacos at reasonable prices.Chipotle has a store a couple of blocks from our school. Most of the younger students don't hang out there because they stay closer to school at McDonald's or Panera. Older students like to go to Chipotle because the younger kids are not there.

Description: Hollister is another poplar store in Nortern Virginia. Hollister is a very well known American clothing brand that has clothes with a Southern California style that some NoVa kids like to wear.Students in our school are into different types of fashion and when we are allowed to "dress ourt" of our uniforms, it is easy to see which kids are into skate boarding and surfing because they like the Hollister brand.

Description: Reston Town Center is very representative of teen culture in Northern Virginia. Teens like it because it has an almost city like atmosphere with all of its tall buildings, but it is still of a manageable size and very safe. It has so much to do to keep teens entertained, such as shopping, dining, movie theater and an ice skating rink in the town center. Reston Town Center also shows the culture of wealth that teens in northern Virginia today are steeped in because the shops are almost all high end.

Description: Tysons Corner Center is not just a shopping mall it is "the" place to hang out for Northern Virginia teenagers. Because it is located close to the Capital Beltway, which circles Washington D.C., pleople come from Maryland and D.C. Tysons Corner Center has many different stores and restaurants/food courts and movie theaters even a play area with a train that little brothers and sisters can ride. You can find every kind of speciality/boutique style store at Tysons. It is always busy; at Christmas time its decorated to perfection. People can not only buy clothes for parties and prom but eat at fastfood and sit down restaurants. Many teens go to Tysons just to hang out.

They offer any type/combination of coffee, tea or hot chocolate imaginable. It is the place to get coffee and in the morning you can see students at their locker finishing the last sips of their Starbucks drink.

Description: UGG boots are from Austalia. They have a very distincive style and are popular with Paul VI students in the winter. These boots show that teenagers often like to shun the social norm of looking classy in favor of being comfortable. UGG boots have become a symbol that represents teen culture in America today almost as much as jeans were a symbol of teen culture in the previous generation.
