Description:

The New Mexico Lottery Authority is a government instrumentality, separate and apart from the state, governed by a board of seven directors, who are appointed by the Governor. The Lottery is subject to oversight by the Legislative Finance Committee. It was established in 1996. It is a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association. Since 1996, more than 128,000 students from across the state have attended New Mexico public colleges, universities and technical colleges with the help of Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
