Description: The Government Accountability Board (GAB) was charged with oversight of Wisconsin's campaign finance, elections, ethics, and lobbying laws from 2008-2016. The GAB oversaw Wisconsin's elections, including the recall campaign and elections of 2011 and 2012. 2015 Wisconsin Act 118 eliminated the GAB as of June 30, 2016, and replaced it with two separate commissions, the Wisconsin Elections Commission and the Wisconsin Ethics Commission, which oversee election administration, campaign finance, and lobbying.
