Description: The Odesa Paleontological Museum is one of the oldest in Ukraine. In 1865, simultaneously with the founding of Novorossiysk University, a geological cabinet was opened, which had a paleontological department with 318 exhibits. In 1873, the outstanding zoologist and paleontologist V.O. Kovalevsky presented the first large author's collection of fossil remains of freshwater molluscs from the south of France. Since then, the paleontological museum has existed as an independent unit.

Description: Odessa catacombs are underground quarries of the 19th-20th centuries, laid under the city and its environs. This surreal mazewas formed as a result of spontaneous extraction of shell rock for the construction of Odessa. Odessa was founded in 1794 and after 120 years it could accommodate 600 thousand only official residents. The growth of the city led to an enormous demand for building materials. Their total length is estimated at more than 3000 kilometers, containing three museums and tours into the wild catacombs.
