Description: Archived website of Educating Maryland Kids, an advocacy coalition "dedicated to defending the Maryland DREAM Act," which passed the Maryland General Assembly in Spring 2011 ("About," http://wayback.archive-it.org/1826/20121001152116/http://educatingmarylandkids.org/about/, archived October 1, 2012). The Educating Maryland Kids campaign encouraged Maryland voters to vote "for" on Maryland Question 4, a statewide question on the 2012 general election ballot asking voters to vote for or against the Maryland DREAM Act, a portion of Senate Bill 167 (2011) allowing undocumented immigrant students to pay in-state or in-county tuition at Maryland institutes of higher education under certain circumstances (Senate Bill 167, http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmMain.aspx?tab=subject3&ys=2011rs/billfile/sb0167.htm, accessed August 7, 2018). The question was added to the ballot via referendum petition and was also known as the "Dream Act Referendum." The Educating Maryland Kids website includes information about coalition members, advocacy positions, blog, video, and events.
